Mandi Lennard threw a great Xmas party last night with music from Hanna Hanra, Pippa and Iwan, Princess Julia and Richard Mortimer. There was warm cider, food courtesy of Bistrotheque and unlimited Vodka thanks to Absolut. What a great crowd and fun evening. Thanks Mandi and Merry Xmas everyone!!
This week we celebrated our success of winning ASVOFF4 with a film screening, in London, of our 'I WANT MUSCLE' film. When Diane Pernet commissioned Elisha Smith-Leverock and myself to shoot a short film based on the theme of power we jumped at the chance to shoot a female body builder. Elisha and I wanted to draw on the beauty of these amazing women looking back at the 70's legends, such as Lisa Lyons. We found the perfect muse, Kizzy Vaines, and made our film. What an honour to then win the award! We wanted to hold an evening in London to celebrate and provide an opportunity for people to meet Kizzy and ask questions. Thanks to Creature for making this all possible and Nike for a wonderful space.

Gareth Pugh has just teamed up with M.A.C Cosmetics designing a cool, exciting range of nail varnishes, lashes, lipsticks, blush and shadow, all wrapped in a very signature 'Gareth Pugh' packaging, exploring light and dark. To celebrate this collaboration MAC threw a party at Ambika, where the much anticipated film, shot by Ruth Hogben, was premiered on the big screen. I think it's great when designers cross over into other areas of design and this collaboration makes perfect sense. The products are so true to Gareth's style, what an exciting opportunity for consumers to buy, and wear, a brand they admire so greatly on the catwalk as a beauty product. I need to stop talking so much and take more pictures, sorry!

HUSK is a really exciting new magazine, this being the 2nd issue. There are some great people involved so I jumped at the chance to shoot for them with photographer Kim Jakobsen To and Alun Davies. Here is our story, featuring the lovely Arthur at Select and brand new May at Union.

So here is my first still life shoot, shot by the lovely Kim Jakobsen To with Art Direction by experienced Alun Davies for HUSK magazine. This was a completely new experience for me and really good fun. We wanted to build small scenes out of products, mainly cosmetics, and here they are.......... Please see all credits below each image. The last image provides the credits for the previous (landfill) shot.
